Comments on Proposed Rules related to Prescription Co-pays for Poor Seniors and People with Disabilities (9.5.07)
Linda Katz, Policy Director, urges the Depart of Human Services to set a monthly cap on the amount that poor seniors and people with disabilties could have to pay in newly imposed co-pays for their prescription drugs and asks the Department to inform recipients that they cannot be denied medications if they assert an inability to pay.

Comments on regulations that will change eligibility for Medical Assistance for many non-citizen children and adults.

Poverty Institute's Comments on DRA Citizenship and Identification Verification Requirements (10.06)
The DRA Citizenship and Identify Verification Requirement has the potential to cause otherwise eligible applicants for and recipients of Medical Assistance to be denied access to critical health insurance and care.  The Poverty Institute offers suggestions to protect client access and minimize the work for DHS staff.
